But it’s also where tens of thousands of children are trapped in slavery, forced to produce the fish sold in its massive fishing industry.

Each day begins before dawn with the hope of making it to dusk. Drowning and other hazards are a constant threat while child after child is forced to dive down into the lake’s dark depths to untangle the web of fishing nets.
